An all new session of KidzArt Classes starte today at Rush Creek Elementary School in Maple Grove, MN. This session, Mixed Media Mania!, is all about different materials. Today students created a landscape using different paper, gemstones, and glitter paint!
First we talked about what a collage was (collage: is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the
visual arts, where the artwork is made from an
assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole). Which students could relate to having done before with pictures or a group project.
Then we talked about different landscapes and what kind of landscape they wanted to create in their collage. A few students chose to create a nice warm landscape (a nice thought in the middle of winter here in Minnesota!).
